"This piece is within the context of a continuum of paintings. First is "The Weather" series, which deals with the inner atmosphere of the Earth. Next, "Happy Planet" is the Earth, viewed from outer space. And finally, "Soft Waves" shows multiple suns. "Happy Planet" is also related to the painting "Flight", because they both address flying and freedom. On this planet the people are sending out positive frequencies. This is visible in the wavy lines (radio waves) and the geometric nets (electromagnetic fields). Birds and elated humans soar through the atmosphere achieving heights of consciousness. Open-mindedness and active imagination are the elixirs for problem-solving, bringing forth infinite possibilities. An aesthetic of wabi sabi, worn beauty, is used with a muted rainbow pallet echoing idealism, even utopianism. I wish for the planet to be healthy and for all people to be healthy, happy and free."
