"This painting is an oblique angle of Smith Rock in Terrebonne, Oregon. I felt inspired to use very saturated compliments with a vibrant adjacent pink to convey the intensity of light that falls on this rock formation during the setting sun. I had the privilege of studying this area for several weeks while staying at my mentor's home very nearby, including sighting a soaring pair of bald eagles who nest and hunt there."
