"This piece was created in 2020/2021. It took me a long time to finish it because along with dealing with the Covid crisis, I had received my cancer diagnosis around this time. I quickly lost a lot of weight, began my radiation treatments and was unable to create. It was a pretty dismal time where I didn't know what the future would bring. Fortunately, I was able to finish the piece 5 months after starting it and it was a breakthrough. I at least had my art to help me make it through some very tough times."
