"This cumulation of clouds over these mountains was inspired by a nine month series of work done with one mountain group. I traveled there 3 times a week, in all kinds of weather morning and evening, to capture the essence of this place in New Mexico. This one was painted at the culmination of those many months. A student friend who had joined me during that time shared the photograph that became this painting."
