Yvette's Chapter 1 & 2
"Well to start I never know what the painting will be until it speaks to me for direction, what I mean by that is my process is always the same, I choose the size canvas that I want to use, large canvas are my goto canvas the larger the better, light a candle, and turn on the sounds. I choose my colors randomly. I do not have any idea what the theme of the painting will be, I go by when my soul feels in tune with the canvas, paints, and mediums.
This painting ended up looking like the cover of an abstract book, the right upper corner as if turning the page folded down. When I start a new painting it’s going to another chapter of my life. Naming a painting is always up to that painting I believe you pull the name from your soul, not all paintings have a title, that’s when you leave it up to the person who will buy that particular painting because it speaks to them."
