"This paper cut was created for a video showing my cut paper process for a First Friday art day in Raleigh, NC. The theme about social justice, civic duty, pride, and freedom. My piece was inspired by a poem wirtten by by Margaret Burroughs,"What shall I tell my children who are Black." I created two paper cuts showing Black parents loving their children and speaking words of love and afrimation over them."
