"The Waterworks series developed out of my love for water, especially the rushing rivers found in the Northwest. Using rocks and the multi-colored reflection of light in running water, I arranged the shapes in a rhythmic, pleasing way. This one first started out as a waterfall until I turned it 90 degrees. The warm and cool colors, bold textured marks and peaceful spaces were designed to give the viewer plenty of places to explore the piece."
