Vacation

"This painting literally appeared in my mind as I was intending to paint a different canvas. Look closely at Vacation, then close your eyes. Open your eyes and think of a vacation you want to take. Employee engagement and communication resonates with corporate values for self-time. Every single level of worker is more engaged when they take vacation breaks. Human Resources and Organizational Development have provided qualitative and quantitative support for shorter work weeks, flexible schedules and vacation time. Each viewer will, of course, view Vacation from their individual perspective. My intention was to create a “beach of solitude” and as the eye travels upward, the greens & blues emphasize the calmness and solitude. At the top are abstract markings to invoke the resemblance of the busy world left far behind."
