"On drives through the city of Pittsburgh buildings, bridges, railroads, and city steps that I remember from childhood stream through my memory. I try to recreate these memories in my art. Now that I am blind and the city is changing, I am constantly reminded that through my new vision, my new memories of the new construction will be different. Everyone's life is constantly under construction and the city mirroring our heartbeat is a positive reminder that change isn't always bad."
