Two Towers and Then Some
"Made of gouache on rough-textured handmade paper, this piece is a brief color study using shapes to make larger shapes that come together to make a composition. It is a contrast in the expected (the neatly stacked blue bars that uniformly get smaller as the tower gets higher) and the surprising (the interruption of the yellow ball and few non-conforming blue bars). It is up to the viewer to decide the relevance and meaning of this juxtaposition."
