Thirst Trap
"Living with ADHD I have created many systems to manage my everyday life. This is no different with my artwork- These systems in art usually manifest themselves in pieces that have a sticker-like quality with a focus on clean lines and symmetry. This painting is a unique peek into my mind when it is leaning away from it's natural instincts to create this way and allow for discomfort to take the lead. There is a sense of chaos that is beautiful made by allowing myself to get uncomfortable, Letting go and allowing for imperfection to take the lead. That being said, I sign all my paintings with the Dying Daisy- The daisy represents how things can be beautiful despite being imperfect. Thirst Trap was made at a time that the world was in a heightened state of fear. For me personally it was quite the opposite.I was able to have the space to create and explore the world with very little distraction. It allowed a freedom that I had never experienced before or have since."
