"The Serpent is an abstract experiment mixing acrylic paint with various thinning agents to adjust viscosity and play with puddles and flow. In this particular painting, there are several layers and on the final layer, I used a sander to reveal some of what was underneath. I like to think of this piece as blending three different paintings into one. Do you see the Serpent or Dragon? This was a pleasant surprise as I am Year of the Dragon."
