The Reflecting Pool
"This is part of a series developed in 2023 exploring access, isolation, and inclusivity—focusing on marginalized subjects in seemingly innocuous situations. Journal entries from when I was relearning how to write post-stroke are printed on acrylic fiber paste. Dusk at Cal Anderson Park reflecting pool. Rainbow-washed buildings rise behind the water, top right. Streetlights cast light upon a solitary figure sobbing by the water. Trees line the park's edge, and warm lights shine from distant buildings on the left. Text hidden in the buildings."
