The Blossoming

"In The Blossoming, gear like objects emerge from the intersections of an arrangement of six small circles surrounding a larger circle. What organizes the arrangement of circles is a hexagonal honeycomb. You can’t see it, but it is implied and hidden. The centers of the smaller circles are located at each corner of a hexagon. The larger circle is centered inside the hexagon. The smaller circles intersect the large circle cutting away six scalloped pieces from the large circle leaving a gear like object. This module of circles is repeated, leaving three-spoked like elements in the interstitial spaces between them. The gears are randomly accentuated in black and white. A gradation of color ebbs and flows across the composition."
