"This was my third attempt over many years, to capture the sunlight shining through these delicate blossoms. This warm (non-glaring) light is short lived and lights up the middle of the flowers and I got lucky when a bee came along to enjoy the nectar. I used a Nikon D800 camera with a macro lens and it was hand-held. The photo was taken at the incredible Descanso Gardens - a 150 acre botanical garden in Los Angeles - La Cañada Flintridge."
