"This piece is part of my summer 2019 collection, Sommesso. Sommesso was conceived as a celebration of quiet moments, and the imagery was primarily inspired by the marshlands approaching the North Carolina Outer Banks. Si Quieta uses a monochromatic palette to focus on the sense of movement in its very spare composition. Means Settles or Calms, and was inspired by the period beyond the initial spark of reaction to a beautiful moment, when we settle into it and feel the sensation of calms in our bodies."
