"Maybe my most imperfect photo. This was a very early experiment for me working with liquids, oils and unusual lighting. I revisited this image and some others like it as I was thinking to work with and stretch using materials to create abstract 'paintings'. images that resemble space or satellite imagery.

This one still resonates with me. When I worked in film (movies), one of my favorite visual artists are the Quay Brothers. Their images blur, are misted, imperfect, ghosty. Noise from low-light conditions isn't airbrushed out.

This image does move me, it has a feel that I would like to capture more often."
