Sediment and Silt
"How does the body endure when it is out of control? My work explores this vulnerability, breaking down materials only to reconstruct them, revealing the insecurity and rawness of a body in flux. Through sculptures that shift from flat surfaces to sometimes cavernous forms, I use joined wooden pieces, acrylic paint, and waxed bookbinding thread to depict minimized shapes of internal landscapes. This investigation delves into the delicate balance between the internal and external, the seen and unseen, celebrating imperfection and the inherent strength found in our fragility."
