Scenic Sky

"Meaning: I love taking photos of clouds in skies. But leaving them just as realistic skies does not seem enough. And ArtLifting frequently asks for abstract works. This is version of skies, with abstract shapes added and colors adjusted to make it "scenic". Process: Working a photo I had taken of clouds, I used added additional images of clouds from other photos, adjusted colors and layers settings for each of the layers, and added abstract shapes in Boris Optics using the Styles and Render filters. I added the Optics filters to separate layers, then adjusted and moved the layers, changing the hues and the opacity to achieve a combination of colors, clouds and abstract shapes that was "scenic". Inspiration: I love the beauty of clouds in the sky. I often carry a small camera with me so if I see cloud organizations that I love I can take a photos of it. On days with many clouds I go outside with my camera and photograph the most beautiful cloud combinations. It must be done when I first see it- because clouds change constantly. The most beautiful structure of clouds will be changed in just a matter of minutes- sometimes in seconds. Content: A photo of clouds taken in the sky outside my home, edited in Photoshop with many layers adjusted with filters and other settings. I made about 12 versions of this image."
