Royal Blue

"This painting began as a waterfall that represents cleaning, refreshing, and nature's physical power; the beauty of water and the color blue. At one point, a dancer reminiscent of Degas Dancer's appeared, with a sort of taffeta feel. Then there was the calla lily that took over the dancer and finally, a blue zebra made its way in. The process of this painting was a lot like watching the clouds and seeing the characters appear. Blue and white are always clean and prone to imaginative contemplation & day dreaming, I was listening to the book The Secret Garden which inspired as sense of wonder and enchantment."
