"There is an amazing ranunculus flower field in Carlsbad, California where this was taken. I used a Nikon D700 digital camera with a zeiss macro lens. The camera was hand-held, so I was amazed that there was so much detail. The macro lenses are able to capture the essence of flowers and I love the magic of never knowing what will be revealed until you get home and look at the image."
