Rain in the Desert

"This abstract painting was inspired by a glorious rainstorm following a couple of months of a stifling and plant-withering drought. The colors, shapes, and marks in this work represent the sights, sounds, and even the rich, deep petrichor scent that accompanied this loud, much welcomed afternoon storm. Colors used involve mostly neutrals and earth tones with some blue and a bit of a pinkish hue. There's some linear and markmaking detailing for interest and emphasis."
