Plum Blossom

"I don't think this is actually a plum blossom. They were flowers on a tree that looked spectacular but were actually quite difficult to capture up close. A lot of the magic was in them as a group, though up close. I loved how the tips of the stamens felt like a floating array of dots. Then the more developed ones had this deep rich plum color. They felt whimsical, a bit like something from a Studio Ghibli animated movie and I hope I got a little bit of that in my shot."
