Please Don't Drop It
"On a cool summer morning I found myself in the northern most point of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, the town of Copper Harbor. Impulsively deciding to photograph the sunrise over Lake Superior, I grabbed my camera and reached for my tripod only to find out my tripod had been left at home, some five hundred miles south. I had checked and double checked my gear and somehow I had overlooked a vital tool for long exposure photography. Driven by impulse, I precariously scrambled around the rocky shoreline to aligned a shot, balancing my camera on any flat surfaces I could find, while quietly mumbling under my breath, "please don't drop it, please don't drop it.""
