Plague Idiotest

"From the Anxiety and Dreams series, the artist is autistic and struggles with typical images and happenings of daily life becoming obsessions that turn to anxiety. In his dreams he can change who is in control, and take control of the overwhelming stimulation he deals with daily. Plague Idiotest outlines his struggle with not being normal as it relates to young people seen on this show. Couples he feels strongly he will never be like. The artist offsets these hard to reconcile feelings with his protective and positive images of traffic lights, toilets, and the idea that one of his created characters, Luis the Rat, would protect him by sending the plague at places or things that would cause him distress. Graffiti can either be protective, or require protection from. In this piece is provides protection."
