Outgrow

"Countless steps forwards, backwards, forwards, sideways...the waltz of life for a person never good at dancing in the first place. Then one day, you realize it all had a meaning. Every solo rave in the living room, every glorious stride on your skates, every shaky step taken at the bars in physical therapy. You made it to today, and you are ready to let go of so much so you can become so much more. You have outgrown this shell that kept you safe, and now it's time to truly be free. To become you. This piece was created while listening to "Time Will Change You" by The Crane Wives, a favorite band of mine. I frequently create to a song on repeat as it works well with my synesthesia (I see colors/movement to music) and the repetition helps induce a sort of flow state."
