"“On the Surface” came from a desire to use my technique of using texture with fluid acrylics in a new way. I was inspired by natures beauty viewed from above and tried to recreate an aerial like image of a place I imaged. I created thick textured areas using acrylic mixed with stucco compound and added several layers of fluid acrylic to bring the scene to life."
