"This is a bold abstract painting with a white and grey background that began with four large blocky areas of light blue, black, dark blue, and white in an overall “four-square” pattern, reminiscent of the childhood sidewalk game. The four squares are irregularly overlaid with smaller blocks of color. Thin lines of red and orange in several areas add a bit of motion and tension."
