Mountain Spring
"As a kid, I loved watching painting tutorials by Bob Ross on 'The Joy of Painting'. His style of art, though different because of his use of oil paint, has been a huge influence on my painting technique. His landscapes were always so deep, colorful, and soft. I wanted to evoke those feelings in this piece. Again, atmospheric perspective was incorporated in this painting. By using cool and warm colors effectively, the illusion of distance is conveyed. The sky of this piece is more tumultuous and menacing than the calmer river trees below."
