Morning Song (Midnight Blue)

"This design was inspired by dear memories with my grandmother. When my sister and I were little, she would take us to different parks, where we'd dream along with her. “Listen to the birds, little ones!" as she kept stopping to look up and smiling. "Isn’t their song so beautiful? -They are singing to the sun...” Perhaps her hearing was hyphenated, like mine, because I also hear them loudly and their songs make me so very happy. To create "Morning Song", I recorded bird sounds during my daily walks, then opened the sound files to study the sound waves and their beautiful visual patterns.Followed by digitizing them and depicting their song. I am so excited because there are endless possibilities to make the process of creating a simple pattern, a rich, sensible process that connects deeply with a treasured moment in my life. This color way is about sunset colors into midnight blue."
