Molten Teal

"Growing up in Pittsburgh in the 1950s, pictures of glowing molten steel became part of my education. With 'Molten Teal', I've put my own spin on those pictures by using flowing teal. However, here the presentation of the flow questions whether the flow is going into, or out of, the vessel. As a very minimalist painting, it accomplishes the sense of movement in a very small area of the canvas."
