Migration

"Depending on the time of year, there are birds that are returning to wherever they'd come from for the day. RIght now it's geese, but regularly pelicans, and I think these are swallows in the silhouettes. They nest in the eaves of our building and swarm at dusk when they're here. Set against a rock wall in the natural bridges reserve area, detailed with grasses and branches from the woods adjacent. Something different this time—I live in a nature reserve in Santa Cruz, there’s an amazing diversity of beauty, shapes, colors and natural processes here. I have and shot new images of this area and these are collages, composites of many of those images. They include sand, rocks, rune-like repeating patterns in the stone. Sunsets, ocean, pond, coastal shots, petals, leaves, trees."
