Merging Triangles
"This hard-edge piece is included in my 'White Line' series of artworks. The white lines are inspired by the works of Frank Stella, particularly his 1980s pieces. The colors are developed on a piece-by-piece basis, from individual color palettes that are dependent on how I envision the outcome. Up until I created 'Merging Triangles', I focused on the basic equilateral triangle. Here I chose to merge isosceles triangles which transformed them into quadrilateral (or diamond) shapes. I chose an Art Nouveau color palette and used that within an Art Deco design to create a contemporary piece."
