Medicine Bridge

"This piece is an example of art speaking to the artist. This was created shortly after I had moved into my basement studio from a friends garage. It has an uplifting vibe. I began with simple, somewhat heavy handed strokes, trying to create a general sense of continuity. I felt the whole time as if I was letting my unconscious dictate what happened. It was toward the end of my work on this piece, that I recognized that this piece represented my sense of hope despite my illness. The bridge in this piece is the bridge that connects one hospital to the other hospital where I have treatment."
