Loving Family
"So wonderful to have Sandhill Crane families visit me in my backyard every day! I absolutely adore these gorgeous creatures! Every spring, they bring the new babies! I really look forward to seeing them! They’re like old friends. Very tame but almost 4’ high... they can look you right in the eye! They are not afraid of humans, only dogs.
This painting was created from a photo I took with my iPhone in my backyard. I love all of the water birds here in FL and as I live on the edge of a preserve on a lake, we get a wonderful variety of birds. They make me happy and take my mind off of the terrible situation around us now. I am so lucky to live here!
I used a masking technique for this painting. Several applications of ink were applied in layers."
