Little Big Fuss
"This piece is a vibrant, layered abstraction created by applying paint between sheets of clear plastic, compressing it to spread the colors, and then scanning the result. Bold splashes of deep red, golden yellow, forest green, and royal blue converge and blend in organic, flowing forms, as if frozen mid-motion. The act of “smushing” the paint between the plastic layers has caused the colors to interact unpredictably, creating soft gradients and areas of overlap where new shades emerge. The compressed layers of plastic add a glossy, reflective quality, capturing subtle light reflections and giving the colors a slightly translucent appearance in some areas. The marbled, pale background visible beneath the plastic provides a muted contrast to the rich colors, adding depth to the composition and enhancing the sense of the paint floating or suspended within its clear enclosure. This process of layering, compressing, and scanning transforms the paint into a study of movement and containment. The result is both controlled and chaotic, as the colors burst outward yet remain contained within the boundaries of the plastic. This dynamic fusion of color and texture invites viewers to appreciate the spontaneous beauty of the medium’s manipulation, captured and preserved in a moment of abstract vitality."
