"Liminal Spaces, Sky 2, is one of a series of my experience of nature. The many years I spent in the desert have left me with many memories of its complex skies, steep canyon walls, and sandstone cliffs. As I move from realism and abstraction there is an uncertainty that feels "liminal." As various shapes and textures emerge, it is always a surprise where the painting takes me."
