Imaginary Borders

"I was creatively challenged by the idea of planning and working in a size ratio I was not visually accustomed to. My inspiration or launching point was the review of client preferences and then articulating this from my own visual, experiential, and stylistic frames of reference. I generally use an intuitive process to first conjure up a basic skeletal idea, theme, and direction. Then, to accommodate my vision anomalies, I usually work in a left to right linear fashion from the top of the canvas or paper to the bottom. I have frequent photos taken of the work in progress so I can see the work in full, keep things balanced/cohesive, and add or subtract as I go."
