Iceberg

"This piece is heavily textured. I began with the idea of creating a seascape but wanted to play with gaps in space (as in blind spots) which appear as swirling vortexes that are always changing and playing tricks. After some time, I realized that the gaps seemed to me to be floating icebergs. In the sky, I placed a red flaring sun and I felt the picture had the perfect mixture of beauty and foreboding, of calm and chaos, and of natural and the unreal."

- Benny Blindspots
