Heading Home
"This was really the first piece that I began experimenting with pushing the dripping of vertical strokes
through the entire canvas.I really tried to form the piece from the drips as if the image was being created
from a cascade of color.
I chose to show the city view, of my walk home, abstracted. Attempting to convey the odd euphoria my brain
experiences as it tries to discern bright lights against darkness. The cars on the freeway a jumble of
suggested lights and colored streaks, as they make their way through evening rain, against the flattened
backdrop of the city."
