He Can't Hear the Quiet
"This is another piece that is very representative of my personal experience of chronic illness and losing vision. I believe that whenever I put more than one face on one canvas, I'm trying to depict a certain vertigo and the sense of being untethered. The title refers to the loss of vision, which hurdled me into an existence where I was trapped with my thoughts more than ever before, with no easy distractions via visual stimuli. I still remember a period in time when I would wake up at 5 in the morning because the birds seemed unusually loud and I realized that I was hearing and localizing sounds more acutely for better or for worse."
