Gray Squares
"A grid of gray squares in varying shades cover the paper, with a row of fully opaque blue-gray squares near the bottom quarter of the piece; a grid of guidelines made up of tiny pinpricks is visible only upon very close inspection. For this series, I use only 1 hue (in this case blue) + a black for the entire piece, relying on different levels of opacity and transparency as well as mixing in more or less black for each square to create subtle changes in color."
