Gravity Series: Prisms of Hope
"Superimposed over a muted colored background, this is a cruciform composition featuring white and moody shades of grey occasioned by black accent marks. There are two small asymmetrical focal areas of brighter, unimpeded color that symbolize hope. Techniques include layering, dragging, markmaking, and scraping. This piece along with the other pieces in the Gravity Series and a work entitled Flight! are deeply personal and meaningful pieces inspired by my sister's terminal illness."
