Grasses

"I'm lucky to live in an area with lots of plants (and wildlife too), more than anyplace
I've ever lived. Some of this winter-spring series is just from wandering around just
outside my door. There are areas of different grasses. The light coming through them was fantastic, though the near-constant wind made getting clear shots challenging. I have a number of these, some look more abstract than others—which is what I was going for. As some dried or grew, their whole texture changed, so I shot a number of times. I did startle a lady who was walking her dog when I stood up suddenly—I was lying on the ground to get the shot."
