Galaxy of the Mind

"As a late-diagnosed autistic who is still learning to unmask, there are a lot of times I am feeling like "too much" (I know I'm not supposed to feel this way, but it is what it is). I painted "Galaxy of the Mind" on a morning when I had a lot of creative energy and the colors of synesthesia were swirling inside my brain. I think this piece does a pretty good job of capturing what this can look like - a symphony or a galaxy of colors and movement flowing together, with all kinds of little corners to get pulled into for awhile. I enjoyed playing with a mixture of acrylics, watercolors, and a little alcohol (for distressing) to create this vibrant peek behind my eyes."
