Frozen
"Inspired by & painted to the song “Frozen” by Madonna - this painting is truly unique as it looks different in different light. “Frozen” is heavily textured with glass beads, flakes & layer upon layer of thick medium which crisscrosses over the layers below - as if trapping the layers under frozen ice. The lyrics, “You only see what your eyes want to see, how can life be what you want it to be, you’re frozen, when your hearts not open.” - reflect how easy it is for me to get bogged down by my constant health challenges, to become cold and bitter by my situation - but the one thing that does open my heart and feed my soul is painting with my hands, and carrying out the dance I see in my mind when I listen to this song. Then my sorrows melt away as I paint.
Painted using only my hands - no brushes or instrument."
