"This is a representational painting that features intense, warm oranges and reds that sweep and radiate in an upward diagonal motion. Limited black contrast areas provide some accents, including a larger and prominent area of black that suggests a birdlike shape with a diagonally oriented and upward-pointed beak. This piece entitled Flight along with the pieces in the Gravity Series are deeply personal and meaningful pieces inspired by my sister's terminal illness."
