Emergence
"This piece is about rebirth, renewal and the 'emergence' of a reformed being, similar to the life cycle of a butterfly. Layers of paint reveal natural instances of paint interactions. We discover so much beauty when we let the natural cycle of life organically happen. In life, as well as in nature, there are obstacles, adversities, the end of phases/eras and then the rebirth of something new. 'Emergence' features different shades of blue with pops of green, orange and yellow. Wheelchair track marks and swirls are symbolic of how each of us navigate our unique journeys throughout our time in this universe. The element of water also plays a significant role, symbolizing fluidity, freedom and letting go. The large size of the artwork is meant to make a significant impact on the viewer, allowing them to feel the vibrancy of new life."
