"Dreams and maps are recurrent inspirations for my work, and in this abstract painting my goal was to I wanted to use soft-focus shapes and mostly muted colors that suffuse dreams, daydreams, and thoughts about the future. There’s an ambiguous expansiveness depicted with no definitive paths revealed, but there are a few color-contrasted areas where one might linger and rest for a little while."
