Dream Map: Looking Back
Dreams and maps are recurrent inspirations for my work, and in this abstract painting I wanted to capture and offer up the soft-focus shapes and muted, mostly pastel colors that suffuse dreams, daydreams, and memories. Here, looking back, there’s the suggestion of structures that might be perceived as tiered rows of dwellings to symbolize the places or stages where we have been.
